Much has been made of late about the medical administration of Botox. Many spas and medical offices are now offering Botox treatments that are administered by a nurse or physician’s assistant. The question for many patients is… Who should I trust to administer my Botox treatment?
According to The Physicians Coalition for Injectable Safety, not all nurse and physician assistant injectors are qualified to perform Botox, Restylane and other dermal filler cosmetic injections. In June 2008, it advised all patients to be aware that nurses and physician assistants should work with an appropriately trained, supervising physician to perform such injections. The Coalition, which is made up of more than 5,000 board-certified physicians across the United States, began as a way to inform consumers with accurate, unbiased information to make informed choices for injectable medical treatments. The Coalition advises patients that it is their right to request that a physician administer the injection.
At Cosmetique Aesthetics, all our Botox treatments are administered by a qualified physician, or an experienced, trained nurse practitioner under the supervision of an on-site physician. The choice is up to each patient as to their individual preference. Our facility is licensed, medically equipped and specifically trained for Botox, Restylane, Restylane Lyft, Radiesse, and Juvederm.
If you are considering treatment and would prefer that a doctor administer your Botox procedure, Cosmetique Aesthetics is for you. Our Botox treatments can help with moderate to severe frown lines between eyebrows as well as crow’s feet.
